Life Groups are where faith becomes personal.

At Hope City, our mission is to help people experience Jesus in a way that will change their lives and impact generations with His hope. Life Groups are one of the primary places where that mission comes to life. They’re where people open God’s Word together, build meaningful relationships, and take next steps in their faith.

HOW DO LIFE GROUPS WORK?

Life Groups meet weekly during our Spring and Fall seasons, typically for 8–10 weeks. Each gathering lasts about 90 minutes and includes:

Connecting with others in a relaxed setting

Studying the Bible using our Anchor Series Life Group Book

Having meaningful discussion and honest conversation

Praying for and encouraging one another

Growing in your understanding of Scripture and your relationship with Jesus

WHAT HAPPENS IN A LIFE GROUP?

Personal Study

During the week, you’ll spend a few minutes each day engaging Scripture through our Life Group Study Book.

Weekly Gathering

Once a week, your group meets to discuss what you’re learning, share life together, and pray for one another.

Serving Together

Each semester, groups participate in a serve project to live out their faith and make a difference in our community.

Growing Together

Over time, relationships deepen, faith grows, and leaders are developed to help others experience the same journey.

WHEN & WHERE DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?

Life Groups meet weekly during our Spring and Fall seasons, with groups gathering:

  • In homes

  • At coffee shops

  • At the church

  • On various days and times throughout the week

You can choose a group that fits your schedule and stage of life.

We launch new groups each Spring and Fall, with shorter Bible study opportunities throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Life Groups use the Anchor Series Life Group Book, written by our Faith Life staff. Each book takes us through a book of the Bible and connects directly with the Sunday teaching series, so what you learn on Sunday flows right into your group discussions during the week.

  • The Life Group books cost money to produce, and we simply make them available at cost. We charge to cover expenses and help everyone feel invested in the journey together.

  • Life Groups meet all over our community: in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, and right here at Hope City. There’s a group in a setting that will work for you!

  • Yes! Some groups provide childcare. When you register, just look for the groups marked “childcare provided.”
