We always encourage our people to jump on a volunteer team. Not only is this the best way to get connected with others, but it’s also a way to grow in your walk with Jesus.
Sometimes it’s easy to get comfortable — grab your coffee, find your seat, enjoy worship and the message, and head off to your usual Sunday lunch spot. But God has more for us than just a comfy Sunday experience. He invites us to serve His people and share the Good News of Jesus.
Volunteering is one way we get to step out, stretch our faith, and make a difference in the lives of others. “When are eyes are fixed on serving someone other than ourselves, God begins to do an incredible work in our lives.” We’d love for you to join us!

City Life
-
The door team creates a welcoming environment as people enter the church on Sundays at both the front doors and the entrance to the Venue. They are friendly and hospitable as they hold doors open for people as they enter and exit.
-
The parking team is our first connection point with people as they arrive on Sunday mornings. Our crew is friendly and able/willing to serve in various weather conditions(rain, snow, heat). They help people find parking spots and direct traffic in the parking lot.
-
We have a team that offers golf cart rides to and from the church. This is a fun team that gets the opportunity to meet people right where they are and strike up a conversation with them as they ride to church!
-
The medical team helps with any medical incidents that arise on campus on Sunday mornings or at events. They have a medical background and many work in the medical field on a daily basis. This team helps us go above and beyond to take care of any medical needs our people have.
-
The security team serves our church by creating a safe environment for everyone to worship on Sundays. They are given a designated area to observe and use Hope City Radios to keep in contact with our on site police officers if needs arise.
-
We have new people attending Hope City every week. The First Time Guest Team does an incredible job connecting with new guests, before and after gatherings. They welcome new people to our church and help answer questions they may have.
-
This team prepares our communion for Time of Prayer. They fill communion trays with grape juice and bread on Sunday Morning so Venue Hosts can pass communion during worship.
-
Venue Hosts help welcome and seat people as they enter the Venue, pass communion during Time of Prayer, reset the Venue between gatherings, and help with special events.
-
We love hanging out together as a church family. Our Events Team helps plan, prepare, and set up for Events held at Hope City.
-
Our cafe is a popular spot on Sundays. The Cafe Team prepares coffee, food and other items before and after our worship gatherings.
FAMILY LIFE
-
Newborns — Waddlers
Nursery ministry is specifically designed to meet the needs of families with babies and toddlers. The Nursery is available during all three gatherings on Sunday mornings and is the starting point for our families getting connected to Family Life at Hope City. Volunteers partner with parents in the safety, care, and foundational examples of God's love to children as parents raise a generation of hope.
-
Walkers — Pre-K
Our preschool ministry at Hope City partners with the families as they continue to raise a generation of hope. City Kids Jr is programmed specifically for preschool aged kiddos, starting when a child begins to walk and continues through their pre-kindergarten year (typically 5 years old). Through worship, crafts, games, fun, storytelling, and more, volunteers lead preschoolers to know that they are loved by Jesus.
-
Kindergarten — 4th Grade
City Kids is our elementary ministry for current kindergarten through 4th grade kids. We know that in elementary years, kids will grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship. As we build on the foundational understanding of God's love, we want our elementary students to discover more about Jesus as they become more rooted in the Bible through intentional conversations, engaging worship, and fun activities.
-
5th — 8th grade
Middle School Ministry is the first step in our Student Life ministry for our 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We know that students in middle school are beginning to personalize and own their faith. As students become more aware of the opportunities to demonstrate their faith, we encourage students to pursue the grace and truth God has for their lives. We introduce students to the concepts of identity, belonging, and significance through teaching, worship, and life group structured conversations.
-
9th — 12th grade
High School Ministry continues and builds on the concepts of identity, belonging, and significance to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. In high school, we know that a student's faith is becoming more rooted. As students continue to learn foundational truths, students are encouraged to put their faith into practice. By engaging the mission of the church, our students learn that growing means going. Our leaders support our students to not settle for spiritual complacency, but to continually step out in faith.
All Family Life volunteers are required to fill out and pass a national background check screening. The background screening is provided through Hope City during the onboard process for volunteers.
WORSHIP LIFE
-
Our Worship Team leads us in worship every Sunday. If you're a musician or a vocalist, this could be a great spot for you!
-
Our Production Team makes everything you see on a Sunday happen.
From running audio, programming lights, operating graphics for all the screens, running cameras, and backstage managing our band/communicators. If you like technology and being behind-the-scenes, this could be a great fit for you!
-
Our photography/videography team captures high-quality photos and videos of Sunday gatherings, and other church events. They work hand in hand with the visual design team to tell the story of Hope City. Their work will help create engaging content for social media, etc. If you love shooting photos or videos, this would be a great team for you!
-
Our video production team is responsible for capturing stories and content on Sunday mornings, as well as capturing Hope City Online. If you have a background in video, or think video stuff is fun, this is a great way to get connected!
-
Hope City Online is an extension of our physical locations, and creates an opportunity for anyone to worship online whenever and wherever they want! It takes a small team to make this happen every week. From a producer/video switcher, to online hosts, if you are passionate about creating an intentional environment for anyone to experience Jesus when they can't be here physically, this could be a great spot for you!
